The 2026-27 OBE prospectus is explicit: NIOS sample material is not a complete compulsory textbook set. Printed SLM and delivery

For Stream 1 Secondary and Senior Secondary admission, the 2026-27 base fee includes registration, the cost of study material, personal contact programme support, the identity card and assignment evaluation. Examination fees are separate. NIOS sends printed material to the registered address, so correct the address promptly and use the learner portal to follow the official process if a parcel is delayed.

OBE is different: its processing charge excludes study material, and the Accredited Agency determines the text in use.
